Charles Hardaker NEAC RBA

Charles trained at Birmingham College of Arts and Crafts and the Royal College of Art wherehe was a Queen’s Scholar. A painter of landscapes, still lives, portraits and philosophical-scriptural subjects his major commissions include paintings for BP, Northumbria water, Eurotunnel, a set of murals for the Howard Hotel, London; two cycles of paintings based on "Genesis" and "the Gospel of Thomas" for Townley Hall, Ireland as well as numerous portraits. His work hangs in the permanent collections of the Tate Gallery, the Guildhall of London, the National Library of Wales and numerous private collections in the UK and overseas. In 2005 he won the di Laszlo art medal at the Royal Society of British Artists. Charles has been a finalist three times in the Hunting British Art prizes.
