Although born in Wick, Frank spent his early years working in London as a designer draughtsman while studying at Camberwell School of Art. He returned to Scotland to paint fulltime and has since become a familiar participant at the public institutions. He exhibits regularly at the Royal Scottish Academy, the Royal Glasgow Institute and the Paisley Art Institute.
