Born in New York, Glen graduated in Fine Art from the Pratt Institute and now lives and works in Pennsylvania. He is one of America’s leading figurative painters with an international reputation as a portrait painter. He won the Portrait Society of America’s Draper Grand Prize in 2007, Honor Award in 2008 and 2005 and Certificate Awards in 2009 and 2004 during it's international juried exhibitions. His work has featured on the cover of GQ Japan and the New York Times and his paintings have been used to illustrate the covers of over 600 books. Sterling Publishing commissioned forty paintings to illustrate their new editions of the works of Shakespeare and W B Yeats.
Other notable commissions include portraits of Payne Stuart, Ben Hogan, and 20 other inductees from the Memorial Tournament now hanging at the Murfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio and thirty inductee portraits hanging in the permanent collection of the World Golf Hall of Fame in St. Augustine, Florida including those of Bernhard Langer, Greg Norman, Gary Player and Arnold Palmer. Thirty oils printed in Golf Magazine highlighting the career of Jack Nicklaus were purchased by the Jack Nicklaus museum in Columbus, Ohio and are on permanent display there.
His patrons have included George Lucas, Wilbur Ross, Disney Publishing, United Artists, CBS and HBO. Glenn has exhibited worldwide throughout his career, holding solo shows in New York, Japan and London. His work has been exhibited in many public institutions principally Norman Rockwell Museum, The Museum of American Illustration, the USGA Museum, The Gibbs Museum, and the Raushenberg Gallery.
