Janet graduated from Edinburgh College of Art with a degree in Drawing and Painting. She was awarded the Andrew Grant Bursary which allowed her to continue her studies in Florence at the Lorenzo de Medici School. Painting continually since graduation and professionally for the last ten years, Janet now works from her studio in Perthshire where she is inspired by the vibrancy of Chinese patterns and dragons and by the natural world and our impact on it. She is a professional member of Visual Arts Scotland where she was recently awarded the Dorothy Duff memorial prize.
