Charles has painted professionally since leaving Glasgow School of Art in the mid 1970s. He has exhibited regularly in Scotland, London and New York, winning a variety of awards and travel prizes. His frequent travels abroad prove a rich vein of inspiration and his views of sunlit Greek beaches are now familiar to the London market.
